ABOUT KULTURUN

KultuRUN is an eco-tourism themed fun run that celebrates Filipino culture through a unique running experience. Participants will explore the beautiful DLSU-D campus while encountering vibrant themed water stations inspired by various Filipino festivals. This event combines fitness, cultural appreciation, and environmental awareness in a colorful and engaging way.

Event Guidelines


The KultuRUN will be open to the general public, from students, to educators, Family and Pet Communities, Run enthusiasts and fanatics. Small and Medium-sized businesses and enterprises will be invited to take part in the bazaar, providing them with an opportunity to showcase and earn profit from their products.

KultuRUN is scheduled on Saturday, May 10, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at DLSU-D Track Oval and throughout the campus.

All participants are required to complete the registration online via Google Forms posted on the official Facebook page.

Registration Process

  • All participants must complete the registration process via Google Forms, which will be posted on the official Facebook page of KultuRUN.
  • Participants must fill out the registration form, including personal and safety-related information.
  • For Lasallian Students and Faculty: Name, Age, Birthday, Contact Information, CYS (Course, Year, Section), Student ID, Outlook Email, College Department, GCash Number, Gcash Name, GCash Receipt, Gcash Reference Number, Emergency Contact Person, Emergency Contact Number
  • Others: Name, Age, Birthday, Contact Information, One (1) Valid ID/Student ID, GCash Number, Gcash Name, GCash Receipt, Gcash Reference Number, Emergency Contact Person, Emergency Contact Number
  • To confirm registration, participants must pay the required fee via GCash.
  • Upon successful payment, participants must upload proof of payment (e.g., screenshot of receipt) in the Google Form.
  • Upon successful registration, participants will receive a confirmation email with race details and kit collection instructions.
  • Race kits include a bib number, singlet, and other necessary items.
  • Participants must collect their kits at the assigned pickup location before the event.
  • To validate registration, participants must present their confirmation receipt and a valid ID upon kit collection.

Mechanics

  • Every participant must wear their official racing bib in front and must be visible at all times; failure to display the number properly may result in an unrecorded finish time and will not be eligible for prizes
  • Participants must wear the official event singlet to be worn during the course of the run
  • There will be three categories of races ranging from 1 km to 3 km to 5 km. Each category will begin at a different gun start time. (4:00pm) for 5K, (4:30pm) for 3K, and (5:00pm) for 1K. Each participant will receive a race kit.
  • Participants who selected the 1 km category with pets shall be with them at all times.
  • Finishers will be identified through the gun time, starting from the gun start until the participant crosses the finish line.

Reminders

  • Registration and entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable
  • Note that a 1 km run is only for adults with pets.
  • All pets and kids are welcome to join the 1 km run, provided that they are accompanied by an adult
  • Note that pets and kids registered with the 1 km run should always be with their companion; the time of the registered participant will count after the adult crosses the finish line.
  • Participants with lost bibs are not allowed to participate—participants have to register again to participate in the race
  • Late participants will be given a 15-minute grace period after the gun starts. Failure to come will result in disqualification and will not be allowed to run.
  • To ensure the safety and security of every participant, ushers and security will be scattered throughout the route; moreover, prohibited items such as: weapons (firearms, knives, etc.), potentially dangerous items (hammers, axes, etc.), fire hazards (flammable liquids, lighters, etc.), and lastly, alcoholic beverages and illegal substances are not allowed during the event proper, ensuring safety and security of all participants.
  • Overall, every participant is encouraged to dispose of waste responsibly throughout the event, promoting the main goal of the event: promoting eco-consciousness while having fun.
  • All DLSU-D students must submit a Parent Consent Form (PCF) signed by their parent or guardian, along with a photocopy of their valid ID. This confirms permission, acknowledges event risks, and ensures participant safety.

Criteria

The first three participants from categories 3 km and 5 km will be eligible for awards and prizes. Race completion refers to whether the participant successfully finishes the race within the designated category or distance. The top 3 finishers from every category will receive a gold, silver, and bronze medal accordingly. However, it is crucial that every participant will follow the rules and mechanics of the event. Completion of the race will signify the participant's perseverance and ability to meet the challenge; hence, they will be recognized and awarded, respectively.
